Pandora’s Next Feature: Tour Marketing
Earlier this week at The Wrap's annual media gathering, The Grill, Pandora co-founder Tim Westergren shared for the first time that Pandora is looking a getting into the marketing of tours. Pandora can solve "what is the most important or second most important challenge for musicians – how to get people to come see you play live,” Westergren told attendees.
Afer all, Pandora aleady knows what a fan's favorite music is; and the information they collect at registraion - gender, age and zip code – matched with a database of tour dates, could easily provide concert recomendations and reminders. Add ticketing links and Pandora has a whole new income stream while providing a service to listeners and artists.
