It's not a big surprise, but turntable.fm made it official today that they've raised $7 million in venture funding. Along with that announcement came news they've hit 600,000 users in 3 months, plus official confirmation that an iPhone app has been released.  The site's beta is also now open to all in the U.S.  

This funding round was led by Union Square Ventures and their Fred Wilson will be joining the board.  Other investors include First Round Capital, Polaris, Lowercase Capital and Benchmark.  In addition, a small group of angels participated including Lady Gaga manager Troy Carter, Facebook's Tim Kendall, Guy Oseary, Vivi Nevo and "a few others that we can’t name just yet".
