MOG Prepares Launch Of Freemium Music Service

image from www.google.com MOG CEO David Hyman revealed his company's strategy for competing with Spotify yesterday at the Rethink Music Conference in Boston: more free music. Hyman admitted that they've been watching the success of Spotify's freemium model in Europe (up to 10 hours of ad supported music a month) and was readying a similar offering.

Hyman said MOG's new plan would "not be as free as Spotify", but would offer users "a real taste" of unlimited music streaming. "What Spotify is doing with free is just too expensive," said Hyman. New MOG users must currently enter credit card info before trying the service free for 14 days.
