Last week Jimmy Fallon was probably the first major network host to use a QR code to introduce a guest.  During a brief intro of Tyler The Creator and Hodgy Beats of Odd Future, Fallon held up a large card with a QR code on it that that, when viewed by a smartphone app, led to oddfuture.com and the a video of Tyler The Creator’s “Yonkers.” Startups like Sharesquare have also done similar QR code promotions with indie artists.
