Google announced yesterday that it will be bringing web video to your TV later this year. This isn't really revolutionary since TiVo and Boxee have been pushing similar services for months. But this time it's Google doing it, and that means it will probably done big and done right.  Plus Sony and Logitech are their early partners. 

Just as blogs and internet radio successfully shine the spotlight and create communities around niche genres, internet based video streamed onto TV's opens the door for niche music TV.  To think, your own 24-7 Finnish death metal TV station is just months away.
