Executive Changes: Orchard, Blue Note, Sony, RIAA

  • The Orchard has named Peter McCarthy SVP of Marketing. McCarthy was formerly of Random House.
  • Producer and musician Don Was has been named Chief Creative Officer of EMI’s Blue Note Records label.
  • The RIAA has named Cary Sherman its Chairman & CEO, effective September 1st as Mitch Bainwol exits. Sherman has served as RIAA President since 2001. Read Bainwol's farewell letter to the music industry here.
