Whitney Houston – “Million Dollar Bill”

Here is the second Whitney comeback song I’ve heard in the last couple weeks. This one is an up tempo, feel good record, thats sure to hit the airwaves pretty hard. What can I say, I grew up with her music, and I’m glad she got her shit back together.

Roz Bell – “Pink Cadillac”

The duo of prolific producer Keith “100″ Mitchell and Singer/Songwriter, Roz Bell took me completely by surprise. I’ve heard a lot of records in the last few months but none as crisp and driven as this one. You will have to listen closely or the gems hiding within the rhythm track will escape you. […]

Drake – “Something”

I heard this song today for what could easily be the millionth time since it came out last year. It was a massive radio and club hit and by now most people are a over it. But every time I hear it I get chills over Lil Mama's part. So I'm wondering, where the heck IS Lil Mama?

Her performance on this track is one of the best I've ever heard in hip-hop. Her ultra-tight syncopations against the beat and her street 'I don't give a F$%&!' attitude are perfectly executed. So why is she not on the top of the R&B and Pop charts?

Here's the track. Let me know what you think before someone makes me take it down. It's a good way to kick off the weekend.

Jay Z ft. Kanye West & Rihanna – “Run This Town”

I barley ever review comerical records on this blog, but this may be as legendary of a collaboration that we will see all year. The return of Rhianna alone, is worth giving this one a quick listen. Granted I never judge a Jay Z verse in the first 3 weeks after its been released, as […]
