Apple has created an "Artist Guide and Best Practices" guide for musicians setting up their official Ping Artist Page. Tunecore, one of the first distributors to get indie artists cleared on the iTune's social network, has posted it. But it's a official Apple document, so the rules practices apply whomever your authorized distributor is. Download the pdf here.
