Like it or not, Billboard estimates that Apple accounted for a whopping 33% of U.S. 2010 recorded music revenue, dwarfing 2nd place WalMart's 10.1% and far exceeding the market share of any previous music retailer.

  • CBS Interactive Music Group has acquired Vancouver based online song lyrics site MetroLyrics.com, the most-trafficked lyrics site on the net with more than 700,000 licensed songs.
